Update as of May 6, 2020
We are pleased to announce that dentistry and hygiene services are now available by appointment only on Monday through Friday, from 8 am - 5 pm. In order to maintain physical distancing, we are limiting the amount of people in the office at this time, so no walk-ins.
We are adhering to the strict guidelines outlined by our association and college to keep our patients and staff safe and healthy during COVID-19. We will screen patients over the phone and take their temperature as they arrive. We ask that everyone enters the building with a mask on and sanitizes their hands when entering our office.
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you reschedule your appointment for a later date when you are healthy. Most of our team is back to work and looking forward to reconnecting with patients. You may not be able to tell who we all are under the extra layers of PPE, but know that we will be greeting you with the same friendly smiles we always have.
If you have a cracked or broken tooth, it will not only affect your self-esteem but can also affect your overall dental health as well. Apart from denting the aesthetic appeal of your smile, these dental issues may also lead to cavities, sensitivity, infections, and chewing discomfort. At Canmore Downtown Dental, we offer a range of restorative dentistry services in Canmore to restore your smile and alleviate your dental health issues. Every individual is different, so are his or her restorative dentistry needs. Schedule your consultation to learn which restorative dental procedures best suit your needs and pocket.
Preserving Your Natural Teeth
Restorative dentistry primarily involves the treatment of dental conditions which are affecting your teeth, gums, and jaw. Some of the services we offer at Canmore Downtown Dental include:
CEREC protects your tooth’s structural integrity. The ceramic used in the procedure are bio-compatible. Diamond coasted instruments mill a ceramic block to reproduce the design to suit your teeth. Using this treatment you can have your crown done in a single visit restoration.
A dental bridge is a fixed dental restoration that is used to replace your missing teeth by joining an artificial tooth. This artificial tooth is joined to your adjacent teeth or dental implants. A bridge will help us cover the area where your teeth are missing.
The dental implants are used to support one or more false teeth. These dental implants are titanium screw that can replace the root of your tooth when it fails. Just like your tooth root, a dental implant is placed into the jawbone.
Bruxism is a condition in which you grind or clench your teeth more than usual. The one suffering from bruxism may unconsciously clench their teeth when they are awake (awake bruxism), or sometimes they clench teeth during sleep (sleep bruxism).
root canal treatment
Root canal treatment is also called endodontic therapy, endodontic treatment, or root canal therapy. This is a treatment procedure for the removal of the infected pulp of a tooth. During the procedure, after the removal, a temporary filling is placed until the next appointment. At the next appointment, the dentist will sterilize the inside of the tooth and remove the bacteria. Then, the root canal and pulp chamber are filled and sealed.
The dental restoration or dental filling is a treatment to restore the function, and integrity of missing tooth structure resulting from caries or external trauma. It may also act as the replacement of such structure supported by dental implants.
Dental inlays and onlays are used when your old fillings need to be removed and replaced. A dental inlay is similar to a filling, and it fits inside your cusp tips (top edges) of the tooth.

Incredibly Impressed of the Service
“Canmore Downtown Dental went absolutely above and beyond for me. I was visiting from BC for a wedding. At the same time, I also managed to require some emergency dental work. I was in a lot of pain! Their office got me in right away, were kind, took care of the issue and the doctor gave me her cell in case anything got worse over the weekend! So incredibly impressed of the service I received as a non-patient. Thank you.”
